Winterization
As the boating season comes to an end, it is essential to start planning winter lay-up and the maintenance activities required to extend the lifespan of the vessel in all its components.
Winterization is not a quick procedure and must be scheduled in advance. When it comes to boat maintenance, the principle “prevention is better than cure” truly applies: the higher the level of preventive care, the better the results. Preparing a boat for winter storage means dedicating time to all the necessary tasks to preserve its performance, ensuring it is in perfect condition for the following spring.
DRY STORAGE
Bringing a vessel ashore ensures greater convenience during essential maintenance and cleaning operations, while also providing increased protection from bad weather and rough seas. But that’s not all: a boat kept in dry storage is far less exposed to osmosis and humidity and, being away from salt water, tends to experience less wear over time.
